We depart and make our way to Cumbria, arriving late afternoon at our hotel for the next 4 nights with dinner, bed and breakfast.
During your stay
Visit to Hexham, dominated by the Abbey overlooking the market square.
Hadrian’s Wall, which stretched some 76 miles from the Tyne to the Solway.
We travel into the Yorkshire Dales to Kirkby Lonsdale.
Enjoy the most spectacular train journey on a main line railway in the whole of England – the famous Settle to Carlisle line where wetravel along the whole line through majestic scenery to Carlisle.
Friday
After breakfast we depart for home.
