This lovely holiday covers the beautiful areas in and around the Peak District National Park with magnificent scenery throughout. Step back in time and experience the heritage of the Peak District and its surrounding area and enjoy the sights of the countryside and cityscape.

Monday
We depart and make our way to the Peak District, arriving in the afternoon where we enjoy 4 nights stay with dinner, bed & breakfast with tea/coffee on arrival.
During your stay
• Scenic journey through the north of the Peak District, passing through Glossop to the Ladybower Reservoir before we head towards Castleton where we stop for time to explore and relax.
• Visit to Lyme Park and its House & Gardens which was the backdrop for some of the filming of ‘Pride and Prejudice’.
• Astbury Meadow Garden Centre where you have free time to explore before continuing to the World of Wedgwood Visitor Centre where you will enjoy a delightful Afternoon
Tea, before guiding yourself through the museum and factory to see craftsmen at work in Britain’s greatest luxury ceramics company.
• Today we travel through the heart of the Peak District, passing by the quaint villages Excursion to the market town of Bakewell, home to the famous ‘Bakewell Tart’ or ‘Pudding’.
• Buxton, a spa town with delightful gardens and magnificent historic buildings.

Your Hotel
The Shrigley Hall Hotel & Country Club is an elegant Victorian country house, set in 262 acres of grounds and golf course on the edge of the Peak District National Park. The hotel leisure facilities include an indoor pool, gym, spa pool, sauna and steam room for all your relaxation needs. All bedrooms are en-suite and have the modern facilities you would expect from a hotel of this standard.
