Gold Autumn Colours of Lincolnshire

Monday

We depart and make our way to
Lincolnshire to arrive late afternoon at our hotel for
the next 4 nights stay with dinner, bed and
breakfast with tea/coffee and biscuits served
on arrival.

During your stay

• Visit to the historic city of Lincoln for a
guided tour of the city and magnificent
cathedral, and next to it the Norman Castle.
• We call at the beautiful town of Stamford,
packed full of art and craft shops, in time for
lunch, and afterwards you have chance to
discover the town.
• Visit to Burghley House, a 13,000-acre
working Lincolnshire estate on the outskirts
of Stamford. Built between 1555 and 1587
the awesome house is a Tudor House with
18 state rooms, beautiful gardens, orangery
restaurant, shop and café.
• We drive to the medieval town of Newarkon-Trent. Perhaps visit the National Civil War
Centre, or maybe Newark Castle and Gardens
during our stop. Newark-on-Trent is also a
great place for us to enjoy lunch today.
• A visit to the old English town of Melton
Mowbray. We have the morning to explore
and maybe enjoy one of the famous pork pies
from ‘Ye Olde Pork Pie Shoppe, as well as the
local cheeses.

Friday

After breakfast we depart for home.
