Gold Scenic Gems of North Wales & Snowdonia

Day One

We depart and make our way to Mold and our hotel for the next 4 nights with dinner, bed and breakfast.

Day Two - Day Four

• Journey on the Snowdon Mountain Railway
which begins at Llanberis and continues past
waterfalls and an ancient oak forest before
climbing the spectacular ridge to the summit.
• The Victorian resort of Betws y Coed, set in a
beautiful valley in the Snowdonia Forest Park.
• Portmeirion where a young Welsh architect
made his childhood dream come true and
designed his architectural vision around a
Mediterranean piazza, rebuilding loggias,
grand porticoes and tiny terracotta roofed
houses painted in bright colours.
• The idyllic coast resort of Porthmadog to
catch the train to the slate quarrying town of
Blaenau Ffestioniog.
• Journey on the Llangollen Railway through
the picturesque Dee valley to Llangollen.
From here we take a gentle ride on a boat trip
along the Llangollen Canal over the mighty
Pontcysylte Aquaduct, an 18 arched stone and
cast iron construction known as the “Stream
in the Sky”, the highest in the world.

Day Five

After breakfast we depart for home.
