Lakeland Express Overnight
The Settle-Carlisle Railway line is one of the most famous in England with half a million passengers riding on it every year. We also take in Skipton and more beautiful scenery through the Lake District.

Skipton - Gateway to the Dales
Day 1
We make our way to the market town of Skipton often called the Gateway to the Dales with its many shops, cobbled streets and alleyways. We then join our diesel train for the breath-taking journey on England's most scenic railway line. We travel through stunning countryside to Carlisle where we stay overnight with dinner, bed & breakfast.
Day 2
Leaving the hotel we travel towards the wonderful Lake District, following the shore of Ullswater and head over Kirkstone Pass and descend to Lake Windermere, where we take a short break before continuing our journey home.
