Detailed Overview

Tour Itinerary

  • Sunday

    We depart and make our way to South Wales and Fishguard for the ferry crossing to Rosslare. From here we continue to Wexford and our overnight with dinner, bed and breakfast.

  • Monday

    We head to Cahir for some free time before continuing to Clare and our hotel for the next 4 nights with dinner, bed and breakfast.

  • During your stay

    • A visit to Bunratty Castle & Folk Park.
    • We board the Doolin Ferry to Inis Mór, largest of the Aran Islands, and embark on a minibus tour with a local guide. After returning on the ferry back to Doolin we have a 1-hour cruise under the Cliffs of Moher.
    • Discover the magic of the ‘Boireann’ or ‘stony place’ in the Burren Centre in County Clare. This visitor centre is in the heart of Kilfenora. Explore their fantastic exhibition on Clare’s cultural heritage and
    audiovisual theatre, narrated by famous environmentalist Éamon de Buitléar.

  • Friday

    We return to Wexford for our final overnight with dinner, bed and breakfast.

  • Saturday

    From Rosslare we travel to Fishguard and depart for home.

The Inn at Dromoland, County Clare is situated within the grounds of Dromoland Castle Estate. With commanding views across the Shannon Estuary and the Clare Hill, there is nothing ‘Inn’ about this fabulous hotel. All bedrooms are en suite with TV, hairdryer, telephone and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel has a lift.
