Special event - Victorian Christmas weekend - Saturday 7th December:

Join us this winter as the festive spirit returns to Blists Hill Victorian Town’s for our Victorian Christmas Weekends.

The town’s streets and buildings will be filled with traditional decorations, and festive music from a band and choir will ring out through the air. You'll be able to peruse the wares in the town’s stores and learn about Christmas past from our costumed demonstrators.

Take a ride around the town on the authentic horse bus or sit down and enjoy live entertainment including the panto-style show. 

Last-minute shoppers will be able to take advantage of the Christmas Emporium to buy unique gifts including delicious foods and local-made crafts. The perfect stocking-fillers!

Revel in traditional celebrations and entertainment, 1800s style and meet Father Christmas in his Grotto! Wonderful.

HISTORY BROUGHT TO LIFE

• Exchange your modern money for Pounds, Shillings and Pence in the Bank

• Inspect the unusual Victorian remedies at the Pharmacy

• Learn how candles were made in the 19th century in the Candlemakers

• See our traditional printing presses in action

• Climb aboard our little train to go into the Blists Hill Mine

TRADITIONAL GAMES & AMUSEMENTS

• Ride the old-fashioned fairground rides, 11am-4pm

• Try your luck on the Coconut Shy

• Give the kids the chance to let off some steam at the Madeley Wood Co. Outdoor Adventure playground

• Dress up for a portrait in our Victorian Photographic Studio 

• Take a Horse Bus ride around the streets of the Upper Town, 1:30-2:45pm
