House of Marbles are makers & purveyors of a world famous range of glass marbles, board games, classic toys, puzzles, pastimes & decorative accessories for the home and garden. We have been designing, making and selling fun and entertaining products since 1973, when our founder began making board games in his workshop to sell at local craft fairs.

Based on an historic site of pottery making, producing quality vintage and traditional toys and games but you will find that there is so much more to do on our site than just shop. Our working glassworks on site is just one of many reasons to visit us, alongside a variety of interesting museums, marble runs and other fun finds as well as a fully licensed daytime restaurant and lots more. Our shop stocks lots of fun and unusual products from a variety of companies, making us a great place to visit for unique gift ideas, a treat for the kids/grandkids or even for a little treat for yourself!

Step into one of the most unique and fascinating museums you’re likely to encounter on your travels. Our Marble Museum showcases an extraordinary collection of marbles spanning the ages – from early examples crafted from clay and stone to some of the oldest known glass marbles ever discovered, each with its own fascinating story to tell.

Be sure not to miss our Games Garden, a place where you can interact with the spectacular giant floating marble suspended on a bed of water. And wherever you wander in the House of Marbles, keep your eyes open – delightful surprises and quirky features can be found around every corner, inviting you to engage and explore!

Whilst at the House of Marbles, you will enjoy a cream tea.
