The Poppy Factory in Richmond, Surrey, has been making poppies, crosses and wreaths for the Royal Family and the Royal British Legion’s annual Remembrance Day appeal. In recent years, The Poppy Factory has transformed itself into a thoroughly modern charity. As well as providing work for disabled veterans at its HQ in Richmond, The Poppy Factory uses its unique expertise to help its clients find work with many commercial organisations all over the UK.

Discover the home of Remembrance poppies and wreaths at our visitor centre.

See how veterans still make Royal and regimental wreaths by hand today.

Visits last 90 minutes. This includes a 30 minute presentation and 1 hour self-guided time where you’ll have the opportunity to explore our exhibition and get hands-on with wreath and poppy-making.

Enjoy a visit with expert insight from your host and volunteers.

Try delicious fresh cakes made by our specialist in-house baker 7Marvels, with hot drinks served by our volunteer baristas.

We warmly welcome visitors for tours of The Poppy Factory, to see the poppies and wreaths being made and to learn about its history. Whether individuals or groups, guided tours take about 2 hours.
