Monday
We depart and make our way to Norfolk and our hotel for a late afternoon arrival. We will enjoy the next 4 nights with dinner, bed and breakfast.
During your stay
• We journey into Norwich with its key landmark of the city, the medieval cathedral, a Romanesque building with ornate cloisters - a must see.Enjoy the cobbled Elm Hill and the Castle Mall shopping complex.
• Newmarket - home of horse racing, where we visit the National Horse Racing Museum and learn all about the history of ‘The Sport of Kings’ and perhaps visit the Packard Galleries of Sporting Art.
• Bury St Edmunds on Market Day, with its famous Abbey Gardens, connections with Dickens and The Nutshell, reputedly the smallest pub in the country.
• We take a tour of the local beach towns brimming with period architecture, rich culture, and maritime heritage. We visit Wellsnext-the-Sea, a port town situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural
Beauty, Sheringham where the town has a strong fishing history and Cromer, a vibrant Norfolk town with a traditional pier.
