Tuesday
We depart and make our way to Harrogate, arriving late afternoon at our hotel where Mulled Wine and mince pies are served on arrival. Enjoy some in-house entertainment after dinner this evening.
Christmas Eve
Our day begins with an ‘Emmerdale’ drive through the beautiful countryside featured on the opening credits of the programme. We make our way to the tiny village of Esholt - the location for ‘Beckindale’ and then ‘Emmerdale’ in the TV series for many years. Then we head for the former spa town of Ilkley, sheltered by Ilkley Moor and the Cow and Calf Rocks. We return for our evening dinner and entertainment.
Christmas Day
Merry Christmas! Swap presents before enjoying a traditional Christmas Lunch. Afterwards, you can listen to the King’s speech where tea/coffee and Christmas cake will be served. Dinner this
evening is buffet style followed by more entertainment.
Boxing Day
Today is a free day to explore Harrogate at your own pace and enjoy the sights and sounds of the historic spa town. Tonight’s dinner is followed by evening entertainment.
Saturday
After breakfast we depart for home.
Your Hotel
The impressive 300 years old Crown Hotel stands in Harrogate’s Montpellier Quarter just a few minutes’ walk from the major attractions, and town centre. All bedrooms are en suite with TV, radio, telephone, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel has a lift.
