We depart and make our way to Southend-on-Sea and our hotel for the next 4 nights with dinner, bed and breakfast.
During your stay
Colchester with a guided tour of the Castle included and followed by free time to explore Britain’s First City with its 2000-year history.
• Visit to the Roman Circus site and visitor centre in Colchester. The site of the Roman circus was identified in 2004 and represents the only known Roman circus in Britain. It was a monumental
structure, and it may have seated up to 8,000 spectators and it would have been used as a venue for spectator sports, including chariot racing.
• Tiptree, home of the Wilkinson’s Jam Factory where you can visit the small museum and see how modern technology has changed and
improved the preserving process
