Theres so much to do in Exmouth you wont believe how the time flies past. Whilst the main attraction is the two miles of family friendly beach, ideal for swimming, sandcastles or exploring the rock pools. And of course Exmouth is the home of watersports with the town boasting great conditions for sailing, kite surfing, windsurfing, kayaking, paddle boarding, jet skiing, rowing, yachting, swimming, snorkelling and much more.
Gateway to the UNESCO Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, with 250 million year old cliffs, exposing a wealth of geological wonder that can be viewed either by walking along the breath-taking coastal path or by a pleasant boat trip along the shoreline.
For walkers Exmouth has lots to offer. Follow the cycle path that takes you all the way along the seafront, and up the beautiful Exe Estuary Trail to the picture-postcard village of Lympstone and beyond. Hire a bike in the town, theres plenty of choice. We are also part of the fabulous South West Coast Path, 630 miles of coastline from North Somerset to mid Dorset. There is the amazing Exe Estuary, home to numerous amounts of wildlife and a real favourite for birdwatchers, as featured on the BBC Autumn Watch. Or take a short trip out of town and explore the fantastic Devon countyside of Woodbury Common, with views across to Sidmouth then across the Exe and even to the far distant Somerset levels. The iron-age fort is a magical location, steeped in ancient history.
