Monday
We depart and make our way to Lancashire and our hotel for the next 4 nights with dinner, bed and breakfast.
During your stay
Visit to Samlesbury Hall, a half-timbered black and white medieval house built in 1325.
We head to Riley Green Marina to board our narrowboat for a cruise along the Leeds Liverpool Canal. Our 2 hour canal cruise enjoys beautiful countryside, with an afternoon tea.
Bury where we can browse the world-famous Bury Market - often voted market of the year in Britain’s Favourite Market. You’ll find over 350 stalls to visit with time to explore Bury.
Famous Oswaldtwistle Mills shopping village
Southport, an attractive Victorian seaside resort with pleasant gardens and the elegant Lord Street shops
We visit the WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre where accessible hides and wide flat pathways help you spot the huge variety of wildlife that make Lancashire their home.

After breakfast we depart for home.

The Foxfields Country Hotel and Suites is situated near the village of Billington in the beautiful Ribble Valley and has leisure facilities with a heated indoor swimming pool, sauna and gym. All bedrooms are en suite with TV and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel does not have a lift.
