Monday
We depart and make our way to Bolton and our hotel for the next 4 nights with dinner, bed and breakfast.
During your stay
• Visit to Southport, an attractive Victorian seaside resort with pleasant gardens and the elegant Lord Street shops.
• We visit the WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre where accessible hides and wide flat pathways help you spot the huge variety of wildlife that make Lancashire their home. There is also a flock
of resident flamingos and otters to observe.
• Excursion to Bury where we can browse the world-famous Bury Market, often voted Market of the Year in Britain’s favourite market.
• We make our way to Riley Green Marina to board our narrowboat for a cruise along the Leeds & Liverpool Canal. Our 2-hour canal cruise passes through beautiful countryside and nature whilst
enjoying Afternoon Tea.
• Leighton Hall Estate where we will enjoy a guided tour. Weather permitting, our tour will end with a Bird of Prey flying display.
Visit to Lancaster with its historic castle.

The Mercure Bolton Hotel has been built around a former Georgian Manor House and facilities include indoor swimming pool, sauna and gym. All bedrooms are en suite with TV and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel has a lift.
