Your reservation is usually booked for 13.30 or 15.30 sitting. Tea lasts for 1hr 45 minutes.
The 5* Ritz Hotel London lies in the heart of Piccadilly.
Served in the spectacular surroundings of the hotels former Ballroom located in The Ritz Club, on the lower ground floor of the hotel. For the first time in over a century, you can dine in this wonderful venue for a limited time. There really is no better place to savour this delicious slice of life.
A delightful combination
Enjoy finely cut sandwiches together with freshly baked scones served with Cornish clotted cream and strawberry preserve, followed by a delectable selection of afternoon teacakes and pastries, which will be replenished on request whilst dining. There are also 18 different types of loose-leaf tea to choose from.
Afternoon Tea is theatrical: the glamorous setting filled with chattering guests, immaculately presented waiters flitting amongst the tables that are topped with pretty chinaware and gleaming silver tea services, and the resident pianist playing the soundtrack to accompany it all.
When booking, you can upgrade to include a glass of champagne.
Dress Code
The Ritz London operates a dress code in specific areas of the Hotel. A formal dress code is upheld in The Palm Court and during lunch and dinner service in The Ritz Restaurant. In these areas gentlemen are required to wear a jacket and tie whilst jeans are not permitted. In all other areas of the Hotel, including The Rivoli Bar and during breakfast service in The Ritz Restaurant gentlemen are not required to wear a jacket and tie, and may also wear jeans. However, trainers and sportswear are not permitted in any public area of the Hotel.
Please note the seating will be allocated by the Ritz on arrival and you may have to be on a shared table.
For a limited time in early 2022, tea is being served in the Ritz Club and not the Palm Court.
Regrettably, due to the location of The Ritz Club, they are unable to accommodate step-free access.
The Ritz adds a 12.5% service charge which is included in the package price.
