Monday
We depart and make our way to Sidmouth arriving late afternoon at the Belmont Hotel for the next 2 nights with dinner, bed and breakfast.
Tuesday
Today is a free day at leisure to explore our base of Sidmouth. It was Sidmouth that captivated the Poet Laureate, John Betjeman - and it will captivate you too. A lovely seaside town that nestles beneath majestic red cliffs and the green hills of the glorious Sid Valley.
Wednesday
After breakfast, we depart the hotel and journey into Cornwall to Falmouth and our second hotel, The Royal Duchy, for the next 2 nights with dinner, bed and breakfast. This afternoon enjoy free time exploring the cobbled streets and visiting Falmouth’s charming mix of shops, from specialist outlets to well-known high street names and art galleries.
Thursday
Today we journey to the bustling city of Truro with its flowing rivers, picturesque streets with 18th and 19th century townhouses, and a magnificent cathedral that dominates the city. The day is
free to sightsee the city at leisure.
Friday
After breakfast we make our way to North Devon, but first we make a stop in the charming fishing village of Padstow. Home to a variety of shops and a popular foodie destination as the home of the celebrity chef Rick Stein. Later we reach Barnstaple and our third hotel, The Royal and Fortescue, for the next 2 nights with dinner, bed and breakfast.
Saturday
Today is free to visit Barnstaple where it is market day. Enjoy time at leisure to browse the market and explore the town with its elegant Georgian buildings.
Sunday
After breakfast, we depart for home.
