Day One
We depart for the north and our hotel for the next 4 nights with dinner, bed & breakfast.
During your stay
• A drive to the Elan Valley and the Dams Visitor Centre for a short break.
• We visit the National Cycle Museum in Llandrindod Wells and journey through the lanes of cycle history. See bicycles from 1818, such as the Hobby Horse, Boneshakers and Penny Farthings, up to
the most modern carbon fibre machines of today.
• An early start as we have a full-day excursion to Aberystwyth and the Vale of Rheidol Railway. We catch the morning train along the former Great Western line to Devil’s Bridge. We take a break at
Devil’s Bridge before we catch the return train to Aberystwyth.
• Journey through the beautiful and diverse scenery of the Brecon Beacons National Park, with free time to explore medieval Brecon.
• A relaxing cruise on the historical Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal.
Day Five
After breakfast we depart for home.
Your Hotel
The Metropole Hotel is in the centre of the historic spa town of Llandrindod Wells in the beautiful ‘Heart of Wales’ – a delightful town with Victorian canopied streets, delicate wrought ironwork and ornamental parks.
Facilities include indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, whirlpool and gym and all bedrooms are en suite with TV, telephone, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities.
