Wentworth Woodhouse RHS Flower Show overnight

For the first time ever, the RHS Flower Show is coming to South Yorkshire in July 2025! Prepare for a wonderful day out with the whole family and enjoy iconic floral displays, talks and tips, markets, stalls, children’s activities and lots of delicious food and drinks. RHS Flower Show Wentworth Woodhouse invites the whole family to bask in summer gardening goodness.

Located in South Yorkshire, in the village of Wentworth – which dates back to 1066, Wentworth Woodhouse is a vast country estate with incredible views of the surrounding parkland. In 2025 the house will host RHS Flower Show Wentworth Woodhouse, as the Show moves on from it’s previous home at Tatton Park.

  • The prestigious RHS Medals and Awards are handed out as the Show opens. Take a tour of the gardens and see if you agree with the judges. The People’s Choice vote opens at 10am on the first day, so you can have your say.
  • There are several judged categories across the Show, each with their own set of criteria. Show gardens represent the pinnacle of garden design. Whereas Young Designer and Career Changers gardens challenge designers at the start of their careers.

  • Terrace Gardens showcase what can be achieved in a smaller space. There are lots of design tips and tricks to be had – showing how to make the most of your garden whatever the size.
  • If you are looking for inspiration for your beds at home, take a stroll down Long Borders Avenue. Every design is packed with exciting plant combinations, each with a different take on a shared theme.

In 2017 Wentworth Woodhouse Preservation Trust bought the estate for £7.6 million. Wentworth Woodhouse is now open to the public with tours of the house and extensive gardens. Visitors to RHS Wentworth Woodhouse in July can take part in these tours for free, led by one of the many knowledgeable local volunteers, passionate to share the fascinating history of this remarkable estate.
